The TerraMaster F4-425 Plus is a versatile 4-bay NAS server combining an Intel N95 processor, expandable memory, flexible storage, and high-speed network connectivity. The quad-core, 4-thread processor operates at up to 3.4 GHz, while 8 GB of DDR4 memory can be expanded to 32 GB. Its integrated graphics support hardware decoding and transcoding of H.264, H.265, MPEG-4, and VC-1 video at up to 4K Ultra HD resolution and 60 fps, making the system suitable for demanding multimedia applications.

Four SATA drive bays provide the foundation for large-capacity storage, while three M.2 NVMe slots offer additional high-speed storage options. Two 5GbE network ports support Link Aggregation and SMB Multichannel, with compatible configurations achieving linear write speeds of up to 1010 MB/s. USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity with speeds of up to 10 Gb/s provides additional options for external storage.

The F4-425 Plus can function as a private cloud, providing remote access to files without requiring subscription-based cloud storage. Local AI processing can identify people, animals, objects, and scenes in photo libraries, allowing large collections to be organized and searched while keeping the data on the NAS.

Data protection features include AES encryption, Snapshot, OTP authentication, SSL certificates, firewall protection, and HyperLock. Backup and synchronization options include Time Machine, Rsync Backup, CloudSync, USB Backup, Duple Backup, and Centralized Backup.

Support for Docker, Plex Media Server, EMBY, Jellyfin, Surveillance Manager, and VPN Server further expands the server's functionality. The F4-425 Plus can therefore serve as a centralized file server, private cloud, media server, surveillance platform, or application host for home and business environments.
