Mt. Hikami has long been regarded as a sacred place, once home to a mysterious and unique faith.

The water flowing through the mountain is believed to contain spirits, and a local teaching says, “Humans are born from water and return to it at life’s end.”

Because of this, those who seek death are drawn to Mt. Hikami – to spend their final moments in contact with the mountain’s eerie waters, believing it to be the proper way to part from the world.

Strange rituals and old customs still linger here, and countless disturbing and tragic events are said to have taken place on its slopes.

This story unfolds on the enigmatic mountain and follows Yuri Kozukata, Ren Hojo, and Miu Hinasaki – three main characters whose fates are intertwined in a dreamlike and unsettling narrative.
