This adapter can make it so that you can use your old V3 Hue LightStrip together with the new V4 LightStrip or vice versa. It changes the connector, so you can use them together, even if you don't have the correct LightStrips extensions for your starter kit. The cable can be turned in both directions, i.e. you can go from V3 to V4 or V4 to V3. The cable is 35mm long so it gives some flexibility in the connection.
