Lanberg network cable tester is a multifunctional device for testing cables in telecommunications networks. The device is an indispensable tool for every installer. It helps significantly save time in verifying pairs of network cables. The device is mainly used for measuring the continuity of LAN cabling and verifying connections along with detecting possible problems with short circuits or incorrect pair connections. With the help of this tool, you can test the connections of telephone cables terminated with RJ-11 connectors, UTP, FTP, SFTP cables terminated with RJ-45 plugs, and cables terminated with coaxial plugs. The device consists of two parts, which should be attached to the ends of the cable under test:
- Tester equipped with diodes, RJ-45, RJ-12/RJ-11, coaxial connectors and a switch.
- Terminator (attachments) equipped with diodes, RJ-45 and RJ-12/RJ-11 connectors.
The tester checks each wire separately using two speed modes and the correctness of the shield connection to the modular plug when testing FTP (shielded) cables.
