This dimmer can dim your normal floor or table lamp if you think the light is too strong, it just requires that the light source is dimmable. This works by plugging it into the socket and then plugging the lamp into this plug, then it can be controlled via the rotary knob on the dimmer This dimmer comes with schuko plug, so you must be sure that the lamp will fit in. The product remembers its setting when the power is interrupted and therefore starts up in the same place when switched on.
