This dimmer can turn any normal switch into a dimmer using push dimmer, install a spring in the switch and you will be able to use this dimmer. The small dimmer can also be mounted in the back boxes/ceiling boxes of your lamp sockets. The dimmer does not require you to have zero wire with you, and therefore you can safely use it behind all switches. The dimmer remembers where it stopped if the power is interrupted.
