The CARLINKIT Mini Ultra 6 is a compact wireless adapter for cars with factory-installed wired Apple CarPlay. It enables wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while also supporting AirPlay and Miracast for compatible video streaming. The adapter connects via Bluetooth and dual-band Wi-Fi on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. After initial pairing, it automatically reconnects to the smartphone, eliminating the need to connect a cable on every journey. Measuring approximately 29 × 29 × 27 mm, the adapter takes up very little space and preserves the car’s existing controls, including the touchscreen, buttons, steering wheel controls and factory microphone.
In addition to CarPlay and Android Auto, the adapter supports AirPlay and Miracast, enabling compatible content from a smartphone to be displayed on the vehicle’s factory multimedia screen. The device communicates using Bluetooth and dual-band Wi-Fi, supporting both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz networks.
The Mini Ultra 6 is compatible with iPhones from iPhone 6 with iOS 10 or later, as well as Android smartphones running Android 11 or later. Once the initial pairing has been completed, the adapter can automatically reconnect to the paired smartphone when the vehicle is started.
The adapter works with the vehicle’s existing controls, including the touchscreen, physical buttons, dials and steering wheel controls, depending on the vehicle. It also uses the factory microphone for calls and voice commands through Siri or Google Assistant. With dimensions of approximately 29 × 29 × 27 mm, its compact housing can be discreetly installed without taking up unnecessary space.
